Synopsis

Avengers Disassemble!" Script by Steve Englehart. Art by Al Milgrom (layouts) and Mike Machlan (finishes). Cover by Al Milgrom and Mike Machlan. Earth's Mightiest Heroes are coming apart at the seams! Due to the gigantic rift between Hawkeye and Mockingbird over the death of the Phantom Rider! And after a big argument at the west coast compound; Mockingbird, Tigra, and Moon Knight leave the team! Which means none of them are around when Mantis suddenly appears! What a shock! Clint, Wanda, and the Vision haven't seen her since the end of the Celestial Madonna saga years ago (in Giant-Size Avengers #4). But she's here now and ready to fight! What is going on? Appearances by the Voice, Wonder Man, Hank Pym, and the Wasp.  Mantis's dialog was re-written without Englehart's knowledge (http://www.steveenglehart.com/Comics/Avengers%20West%20Coast%2025-39.html) Mockingbird, Tigra, and Moon Knight leave the Avengers over Mockingbird's belief that there are certain times when Avengers can kill.
